Cluff Geothermal awarded $7.6m grant from GRMF for exploration drilling campaign

Cluff Geothermal has been awarded a US$7.6m grant from the Geothermal Risk Mitigation Facility (GRMF) to support the exploration drilling campaign at Fantale, Ethiopia. This comprises a further US$3.8m grant for exploratory drilling and associated infrastructure activities, in addition to the US$3.8m grant awarded to Cluff Geothermal in 2015.

The US$7.6m grant can be accessed upon completion of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations with the Government of Ethiopia. The grant will support the initial three well exploration campaign at Cluff Geothermal’s Fantale Geothermal Licence Area, located near the town of Metehara, Ethiopia.
